OMNIBUS KANTFEST

The first singer-songwriter festival KANTFEST took place in 2003. Since then the festival has seen constant development, however, it always stayed true to its original aim: annually collecting the material of some well-known and also some less-known representatives of the genre and releasing it on CD. KANTFEST gives singer-songwriters, travelling bards, rappers and digital troubadours the opportunity to reach new audiences. 

Although the festival’s main focus is on acoustic instruments and meaningful lyrics, KANTFEST also builds and promotes the image of the modern singer-songwriter. Gone are the days when the genre was limited to projects consisting of one man and his acoustic guitar: the modern singer-songwriter is more often than not a digital composer who makes use of a diverse range of instruments and musical methods. 

This time you will have the opportunity to listen to three great Slovenian singer-songwriters: Bojan Drobež, Viki Baba, and Drago Mislej Mef.
